Day 1 - SOFIA

Arrival at Sofia airport. Panoramic tour around the 8500 years old city and visit to the most interesting historical sights: “Alexander Nevski” cathedral, “St. Sofia” church, which had given the name of the city, “St. George” Rotunda and the historical and cultural center of the capital. Accommodation in a 5* hotel in the centre of the city.

Dinner in a traditional restaurant with folklore music, where you can enjoy delicious Bulgarian dishes and a wide selection of wines and drinks. Overnight in Sofia.

Day 2 - After breakfast a tour and degustation of the winery "Chateau Copsa." It is a unique winery, situated among vineyards at the foot of the Balkan mountain, near Karlovo city. The wines of the Valley of Roses have the waft of the Thracians. The cellar is dug into the natural ground elevation, with natural temperature for aging selected wines Zeyla. The wines maturing in a barriques - French, American and Bulgarian. Its capacity is 320,000 liters in stainless steel. At this moment the winery has 100 units’ barrels, which are used to produce a small acid fermentation Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot, as well as the fermentation of Chardonnay. Produce around 300,000 bottles a year. The Copsa winery has 450 hectares of own vineyards. 45% of them are occupied by Old Bulgarian Red Muscat variety. Other varieties are Muscat Ottonel, Chardonnay, Merlot and Cabernet.

Departure to the next winery "Starosel”. Visiting of the complex, introduction to the secrets of wine making and tasting. Varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Merlot. The Sun, the wind and the rain, they are most favorable to the vineyards, allowing the grapes to reach the most favorable maturity and harmony. Thousand years ago in Starosel village were vineyards and wine was part of the daily life of local people, who knew his strength and is used in various rituals. The drinking of wine is one of the important Thracian rituals performed by aristocrats, with the mindset that you will drink them over into the realm of the gods. Winery "Starosel" has its own vineyards and produces both classic vintage wines and wines from new style, very popular in Europe - with expressive fruit flavor and density. The complex is situated at the foot of the historic hill Starosel, where a few years ago were found the largest Thracian temple-tomb. It is believed that was buried most powerful king Sitalk of Odrysses. Will be also a visit to the Thracian cult complex.

Day 3 - After breakfast take the bus to Kazanlak- the city of Roses. Kazanlak is a small town in the Rose Valley. Famous with a century tradition of rose picking and production of world famous treasure -the pure rose oil. Kazanlak region's has old tradition of extracting rose oil and other essential oils like peppermint, lavender, basil and marigold. Visit the Rose Museum, which is unique and Kazanlak Tomb – an original Thracian tomb from 4-3 century BC.

Departure to the winery Chateau "Windy Hills", who is located near the town of Sliven. It has massif of 420 acres of vineyards of high quality French seed varieties "Merlot", "Cabernet Sauvignon", "Shiraz" and "Muscat of Alexandria". The winery is designed to process 500 tons of grapes in a closed technological cycle. To answer the high requirements of the customers, Chateau "Windy Hills" developed several varieties of wine "Cabernet Sauvignon", "Merlot" and "Mavrud". The first series of the varieties of wines are "Cabernet Sauvignon", "Merlot" and "Mavrud". These wines are aged 3 to 12 months. The wines from this series are characterized by lively and brilliant ruby red color with intense aromas. The second series of wines are also varieties of "Cabernet Sauvignon", "Merlot" and "Mavrud". These wines are formed in small oak barrels "Barrick" for a period of 6 to 12 months. They are characterized by intense red color which capture light "brick" colors typical of old wines. The third series of wines are produced from specially selected grapes in terms of a precisely controlled alcoholic fermentation. Those aged in small new oak barrels "Barrick" for a period of 12 to 36 months, and then continue to further develop their qualities in terms of bottle aging.

The next winery for visit and degustation is "Minkov Brothers." Located about 15 km. from Karnobat city, on a hill, surrounded by magnificent vineyards. From centuries, in Karnobat area has raised the strongest and most flavorful grapes. The development of the region is connected with the history of wine in Bulgaria. In the specially built museum complex are exposed old vessels for wine storage and red pottery with images of Dionysus the V-IV century BC. The winery combines 135 years of experience, fertile soil, suitable climate and wine passion. The grapes are picked by hand, over three thousand acres of young vines in Devetak, Fire and Terziysko villages. Visitors walk in both underground tunnels of 80 meters, dug into the cellar. In them the wines are aged in natural temperature over 6000 barrels of American and French oak. The winery offers classic and modern varieties such as Sauvignon Blanc, Gewurztraminer, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Syrah and Cabernet Franc. The wines are expressed terroir character, young, fresh and delicate flavors, juicy and full-bodied flavor.

Departure to Burgas, accommodation in hotel and overnight.

Day 4- After breakfast visit and degustation in the winery "Chateau Medovo", located about 20 km north of Burgas, near the Black Sea and the Balkan Mountains. The winery starts production in 2008, as the capacity of elite wines is 400,000 bottles of white and red wines annually. Chateau Medovo is a new ethnographic tourist complex built in authentic Bulgarian style, which includes a wine cellar, a cozy hotel, indoor and outdoor restaurants and unique craft shops. One of the attractions in the complex is the Handicrafts Street, where the original methods of proven Bulgarian craftsmen produced pottery, silver, knives, copper, textiles, carvings and others. Guests can see the production of foods like a typical halva, coffees boiled on sand, white and other jams and try to spot them.

After the degustation is provided walking tour in the Old Town of Nessebar.
Nessebar is one of the oldest cities in Europe, founded 3200 years ago. For the old history there are a numerous archeological finds, maintained in good condition today. The Old Nessebar is included in the UNESCO's World Heritage List. The greatest interest is the visit of the castle walls and towers; Archaeological Museum with its rich exposition of monuments showing the history of ancient and medieval Nessebar Crown; preserved early Byzantine baths, windmills, beautiful houses of Renaissance.

Visit and degustation in winery "Via Pontica" in Pomorie city. The winery was built in 1932.

A restored building of the cellar kept the spirit of the last century, and in the degustation room you can taste wines and beverages produced in two of the leading Bulgarian wineries - "Black Gold" AD - Pomorie "Vincom" AD - Burgas. In the rich collection are presented local producers of quality wines unsurpassed masters of brandy and spirits, awarded the most prestigious awards in the country and abroad. More famous table wines produced in the winery are:

Mare Blanco - dry white table wine made from varieties Dimyat, Uni Blanc and Muscat; Negro Mare - Dry red wine made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Pamid; Solara Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot Solara; * Villa Ponte / Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah.

After the degustation will be a walking tour in Sozopol old city -the Greek colony of Apollonia and with Nessebar, there are one of the oldest Bulgarian towns. The city is divided into Old and New Town, between there is the Sea Garden. In the city you can see many archaeological monuments: architectural and archaeological reserve Ancient Sozopol Thracian; fortresses near Bakarlaka, Thracian tomb; fortress walls; the Archaeological Museum and etc. Annually in the city is held Sozopol Festival of Arts "Apollonia". Today the city is a favorite destination for generations of Bulgarians, and attracts many foreigners for its historical sites and excellent conditions for holiday.

Return to Burgas and overnight.

Day 5- Visit and degustation in the wine cellar "Eduardo Miroglio", situated in Elenovo village, 15 km from the city of Nova Zagora. From the Thracians until today, the only livelihood in the region is grape growing and winemaking. Lots of antique writers are celebrated Thracian wine. Onto the extremely suitable soil around the Elenovo village are planted 220 hectares of vineyards of French and Bulgarian elite planting material. Some of the varieties cultivated by the winery Eduardo Miroglio are: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet Franc, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Muscat Ottonel, Traminer, Sauvignon Blanc, Mavrud Rubin and Melnik 55. The annual production capacity of the winery is 1 million liters of wine. The main equipment of the winery "Miroglio" is delivered by leading Italian and French manufacturers of equipment and technologies for winemaking.

Visit and degustation in the wine cellar "Castra Rubra ', located in Kolarovo village, near Harmanli city.

The ancient road Via Diagonalis, who has had major economic significance and connecting Europe with the Orient, Rome with Constantinople, is passing from here. There are perfect conditions for growing the best grapes - sun, well drained soils. Today, the winery owns 200 hectares planted with varieties that are suitable for growing in these areas. These are Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Alicante Boucher, Sangiovese, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc, Sauvignon gris, Sauvignon Blanc, Grenache Blanc, Syrah, Petit Verdot, and of course local pride - Rubin & Merlot.
Transfer to Haskovo city and accommodation.

Day 6- Departure to the winery "Katarzyna Estate", situated in the southern part of Bulgaria, 2 km from Mezek and about seven kilometers from the Svilengrad city. The vineyards are located around the winery itself an area of 300 hectares. The ratio between red and white varieties is 70:30. Reds are Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Tempranillo, and Carmenere & Merlot. Whites are Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, Viognier, Muscat and Traminer ottonel.

The area surrounding winery is known for its ancient history and traditions. Upon request you can visit some of the following attractions: medieval fortress from the 11th century; Mezek-one of the best preserved in the country; Thracian tomb from the IV century BC. Hr. completely preserved in its authentic for; The Old Bridge Mustafa Pasha of the 16th century, built on the orders of Suleiman the Magnificent (declared a national monument and is under protection of UNESCO special ordered.) Bukelon castle in the village of Melissa, one of the most best preserved military buildings in the country, area stone deaf, which is a rock cult complex created by the Thracians several millennia, etc.

Then visit and degustation in the winery "Zagreus'', located near the town of Plovdiv, in the heart of the Upper Thracian Plain. The oldest vines were planted in 1998 year, and the youngest in 2008. The region here enters into the zone of longest periods of sunshine, which is on average 2,293 hours.

The varieties grown are Mavrud, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Merlot. There is wines Vinnitsa, Vinnitsa Small, White Mavrud Premium Reserve, Tiara, St. Demetrius and others .The winery has modern equipment and room for aging, where in 500 barrels mature the most prestigious wines.

Transfer and accommodation in Plovdiv.

Day 7 City tour in Plovdiv – southern Bulgaria's capital and second largest city. Plovdiv is an important cultural and historical center, located in the Thracian Valley, where preserved Thracian tradition of wine production. Visit the old city part with Ancient Roman theatre, Ethnographic Museum, Dzhumaya Mosque, Lamartin’s House, Museum of Bulgarian Revival, and Roman Stadium.

Take a walk on the main pedestrian street in the city center and enjoy the Renaissance European spirit.

Visit and degustation in “Todoroff” wine cellar, located in Brestovitsa village, near Plovdiv city.

“ Todoroff ” is the first boutique cellar in Bulgaria, the inheritor of rich culture, traditions and inspiration, coming back from the centuries. The winery is specialized in producing of high quality red wines boutique series and in limited quantities. Its capacity is about 240 tons. There is also and 4* boutique Spa hotel, where every room, studio and hall are with different design decision and bring an artistic signature. In the hotel is a unique Spa center which offers a program based on products from grape and wine extracts. Accommodation in hotel and gourmet dinner.
Day 8 After breakfast will be a visit and degustation in the winery "Bessa Valley”.

The „New "Bessie" / oldest Thracian tribe / - called owners of the winery. Here was born – “Enira” – a unique and great wine sort. The winery has a production capacity of 1 million bottles of wine and processing 1,000 tons of grapes in classic French technology.

Transfer to Sofia and accommodation.

Day 9 - After breakfast will be a free time for shopping.
